Tennessee Walking Horse stud colt, classic
cream champagne, with a star. His sire is
Champagne Showcase
and his dam is
Reactor's
Glorious Lady. Possibly
homozygous for champagne, will test. Possibly homozygous for black, will
test. Sire is EE, dam is Ee. Showcase's Jack Frost is now about 1 1/2
wks old. Videos taken at 1 week, he is exhibiting a fabulous walk. Both
sire and dam have excellent canters. I expect he will too. So far, he is
definitely stallion material. Should mature to 15.1-2 hands, and
1100-1200 lbs., as that is what his sire and dam are. Handled daily with
good boundaries, starting halter work.

Maxine, Just wanted you to know that Jack is doing great. He seems so
happy to be here. He loves to go to the round pen and graze while the
geldings are grazing in the pasture. He can see them and be nose to nose
with them. Eventually he will get to be with the others, but I wanted
him to get over any stress from traveling first. He has easily mastered
the electric waterer without any problem and of course he wants to be
with us where ever we go. We have been really firm about his nibbling,
and he is doing good with that. He is in the round pen now and he is
getting used to the grass here. He was even very calm during the fire
works last night. You can see them from our house and they are pretty
loud. Didn't even bother him. You could actually see him watching them.
He has the greatest disposition of any horse I have seen. I will keep
you posted.

Hi
Maxine,
I had to e-mail you and share what Jack Frost did. He is an amazing horse. I came home yesterday and noticed that Jack and Lori were laying down out in the pasture. The other 2 were standing close by. I drove up the rode so I could see them because I like to roll the window down and talk to them from the road. When I got close I realized that Jack was laying down on the other side of the fence. It is a 3 line electric fence and of course I thought, Oh my God, he is caught in the line. As I looked closer he was just lying there on the other side. I went back to the house, got a lead rope and halter and put my boots on, and drove up to the field North of where he was. I didn't want him to panic and try to get back on the other side. I went in the field and called his name. He stood up and walked across the whole field right to me. I loved on him and made sure he wasn't hurt. I put the halter on and led him out of the field through very deep snow. He was as calm as I have ever seen a horse. We went out of the field and down the road into our yard and then I put him back in the barn. By then, the other horses had run down to see why he was getting to go down the road. I am amazed at this horse. Come to find out, the electric fence wasn't working and he probably laid down and went right under the fence to the other side. I don't know how long he was there, but he waited patiently for some one to come and rescue him. I love that boy. What a horse!!!! I will send pictures soon.
