He
offers a
thoughtful, bold
temperament with
a competitive
edge. He gaits
out in a
head-nodding,
ground-covering
walk. His canter
is developing
nicely. His dam,
Reactor's
Glorious Lady
and sire,
Champagne
Showcase,
both have
awesome slow
rolling canters
so as he
matures, I
expect this will
develop for him
as well.
|
He is still
growing, needing
to broaden and
deepen as yet.
He will be 5 in
July of 09. I
expect him to
finish out about
15.1 hands, and
be 1100-1200
pounds, to match
his dam and
sire.
Fantastic
temperament,
gait to die for
barefoot, good
conformation,
hard hooves, and
a champagne foal
guaranteed to
boot!
He is the total
package!

|
He has produced
two talented
fillies so far,
Sky's Honey
Surprise
in Oregon and
Champagne Cloud
Dancer
(homozygous
gold) whom I am
keeping to breed
to
Handsome Dun
Roadster,
a black
dun Tennessee Walking Horse stallion
of mine.

Here is
Champagne Cloud
Dancer at 1
day of age. Her
dam is
Dancer's
Mystique,
a homozygous
gold mare of
mine: (AaeeChchcrcr).

Named for Gandalf's horse, the Lord of all Horses, from the
Lord of the Rings, Champagne Shadowfax is homozygous for the champagne gene and
has the cream gene. Visions of grandeur, but our names can embody and
magnify the spirit.
|

|
| I was looking for a son of Champagne Showcase
with the quality and the talent to carry his legacy on. So far,
my hopes and dreams are coming true. I believe Champagne Shadowfax is a classic cream champagne and should
look a lot like our mare,
Reactor's Glorious Lady.

Shadow at
4 years, 3 months old
|
|
 |
I started
him under saddle at three years old, and to date, he seems bold and sensible.
He likes
to think about obstacles, not run through them or flee from
them. (Crucial
for what I am looking for.) He has a long over-stride and a
beautiful canter
in the round pen. As I slowly develop his strength while giving
him time to
mature and grow, I am thrilled with what he has shown me so far. |

|
|
|
| He is homozygous for the champagne gene which is icing on the cake. He is aaEeCh?ChCrcr, meaning he is a classic
cream
champagne. Shadow can throw all colors of champagne, depending
upon your
mare's genetics. He has no bay gene to contribute. That would
have to come
from the mare. If he is not homozygous for champagne, he will
also produce
buckskins and palominos with his cream gene. |

|
So far, this colt is a bold, long-striding,
good-minded thinking horse, much like his sire,
Champagne Showcase. I am tickled and am really looking
forward to developing his talents over the coming years. He
might stand in 2008, but it could be in 2009. It depends upon
his maturity levels and the qualities he demonstrates. I hope
you will consider this fine young stallion for your future
breeding program.

Homozygous for champagne, classic cream
stallion. Will be 6 in July. Trail ridden, gone
camping, an unbelievable lick and slow rolling
canter. Better on R than L. Foaled, raised,
trained by me. 4 fillies on the ground, gait and
temperament to die for, people-oriented and
respectful. Good bone, hooves barefoot trimmed.
For multiple day rides he did need boots,
hopefully not this year. Calm energy on the
trail. Riding rugged Rocky Mountains. Minimal
showing, He tried his best in a chaotic NWHA
regional here in Denver and I was so pleased how
his mind held together and his gait steadily
improved as he relaxed. Shadow has it all, a
great, thinking mind, tries hard, affectionate,
a lick to die for and a WOW! ride. Started under
serious saddle at 4 yo, to give time for proper
growth and maturity. Then, add BEAUTY! WHEW! I
hate to sell him but retirement is
calling....now 14.3 and 1000 lbs. Expect 15h
(both parents 15-15.1)
